ShaunSocial Mobile App 1.5.5 Released – New Features & Improvements

We’re excited to announce the release of ShaunSocial Mobile App 1.5.5, fully compatible with ShaunSocial Web 1.5.5.

This update brings new communication features, Markdown support, privacy improvements, payment enhancements, and many fixes to improve the overall mobile experience.

✨ What’s New

💬 Group Text Chat

Members can now communicate together through group text chats directly from the mobile app.

✏️ Edit Messages

Members can now edit messages after they have been sent, making it easier to correct mistakes or update message content.

📝 Markdown Support

Markdown formatting is now supported when:

  • Creating a post
  • Sharing content
  • Writing comments
  • Replying to comments

Create better-structured and more readable content directly from the mobile app.

🔐 Mention Privacy Control

Added a new privacy option that allows members to prevent others from mentioning them in posts.

📢 Ads — Multi-Country Targeting

The Ads Plugin now supports advertising in multiple countries, instead of being limited to a single country.

💳 Social Login + EWallet Payment

Fixed an issue where members who registered using social login providers could be asked for a password when making an EWallet payment.

A new password recovery option allows these members to set/recover their password and complete the payment process.

👥 Membership Comparison

Administrators can now add free membership packages to the Membership Comparison page.

🔒 Account Protection

Added new AdminCP options to help administrators lock, delete, or deactivate accounts, providing better protection for accounts such as demo accounts.

🎞️ Tenor API Update

Fixed the issue related to the Tenor API shutdown by Google on June 30, 2026.

🛠️ Improvements & Bug Fixes

This version also includes many smaller improvements, performance enhancements, and bug fixes identified from the previous version.
