Hello Ronald

Sorry for the late reply.
You are correct, Admin can assign and member or other person to have admin permissions to perform many tasks. The Big issue with this is that many issues can be created accidentally or deliberate. So admin ? site owner has to be very careful who has permissions.

My future admin build: Special moderator / observer.
This is a separate build from the normal admin permissions.
Normal permissions would allow anyone with admin status to (for example): delete member, alter member information, see sensitive member information
I would not create it as moderator user group. In my experience, the more plugins a site has the more demand on the servers fetch and memory service.
This is why i would have plugin ‘Notes’ like on moosocial created for shaunsocial. I used it on my old moosocial where only admin could see Notes and put member information. so if a member was breaking rules or being bad then any ‘Report’ admin received could see the notes on the members profile and make a decision about that member, delete or suspend for example. This method works better but could be used with a user group if needed.

My new admin feature would (for example):
1, Security/ law enforcement: Observer level. only allow viewing member information, messages, ewallet, subscriptions, friends/follow lists, reports. But they could not perform any admin actions such as alter information or delete actions.
2, moderator / Admin trainee: see all information but could not alter information.

These two new admin levels would help prevent accidental issues or deliberate issues.
At the same time would benefit site owner in terms of being classed as a trusted site and will help with law enforcement.

Mikel.
